The National Kidney Foundation's mission is the total eradication of kidney and urinal tract disease. They serve pre renal and renal disease patients and families, donor families, and transplant recipients. They have state chapters with a directory available. The state chapters provide assistance to individuals who wish to start a support group in their locality. The Foundation provides parent-to-parent matching through their pen pals section of their newsletter.
