The International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders offers support and educational services to affected people, their families, and the general public. They work with the health and care provider community to research and share information which will benefit affected people. They support scientific inquiry and research of issues relating to the condition and are dedicated to finding a cause and cure for IBS.
The Foundation has local chapters and will in the future be able to assist anyone who wishes to start a local support group in their locality. They publish a quarterly newsletter, Participate, that is free with membership, and provide literature containing information on a variety of topics and issues relating to functional bowel disorders such as "Irritable Bowel Syndrome," "Dyspepsia-Upper Abdominal Pain," Regaining Control," and "Biofeedback & Bowel Disorders."
The Foundation collects information on physicians and researchers who treat/study the condition and provides this information to its members. They provide information and referrals to physicians and other organizations. Additionally, the Foundation hosts a national conference which will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, April 1997; call for further information.

This list has been created to discuss various digestive disorders such as constipation, diarrhea, crohns disease, irritable bowel syndrome, heartburn, etc. These problems are so common today, partly due to the poor diets that we are eating and partly due to lack of knowledge. We desire to provide you with credible information and some natural health and nutrition products that will benefit you.
